Auditions-Martin Ensemble Theatre Merchant of Venice

The Martin Ensemble Theatre’s first production of its 2017-2018 season is Shakespeare’s problem play The Merchant of Venice.  A mash-up of anti-Semitism, capitalism, sexism, and racism, the play will get an edgy modern treatment in the MET production.

Show dates are Sept. 15-23, 2017.

Auditions:  July 18 & 19 at 7 pm at the Martin Theatre, 409 Harrison Ave.    Call backs, if needed, will be Saturday & Sunday, July 22 & 23 at 1.30 pm, location to be determined.

Anyone wishing to audition who cannot come to regularly scheduled auditions should call the theatre at 850.763.8080 to discuss possible alternate arrangements.

Actors who wish to may  present short passages of their selection from The Merchant of Venice or any other Shakespeare play.

Auditions are open to the entire community.
