William Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice with a modern day twist.
An anti-Semitic merchant borrows from a Jewish moneylender to bankroll his friend’s courtship of an eligible heiress. The bizarre repayment contract threatens calamitous effects, for both of them, in this modern-day version of Shakespeare’s controversial play.
