Molly Anne Bishop, Visiting Artist Lecture and Demo

The Visual & Performing Arts Division of Gulf Coast State College will host a lecture and demonstration by Chicago artist Molly Anne Bishop. Molly was born and raised in Virginia, she graduated from the VCU craft/material studies program in 2012. Working mostly in clay, she draws inspiration from lizards, popular sports, and travel. She has been a resident artist at Red Lodge Clay Center in Montana, Lillstreet Art Center in Chicago, the Skopelos Foundation for the Arts in Greece, C.R.E.T.A. in Rome, and the International Studio in Jingdezhen, China.
The demonstration and lecture will take place on Friday, March 1. The lecture will start at 11:00a.m. in room AC127, followed with a break for lunch. The demonstration will be held in AC129 from 1p.m. to 4p.m. Admission is free.
