Bay High School "Million Dollar Band"
The Bay High School “Million Dollar” Band Program was incorporated in 1937 and currently has an enrollment of 130 students 9-12, which makes up to 15% of the student body at Bay High School. The Bay Band Program includes The “Million Dollar” Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Bay Blast, an auxiliary program, Bay Breeze. The band program actively participates in the Florida Bandmasters Association, which has constantly received superior ratings in their performances. The Bay Band has had numerous special performances across the panhandle of Florida as well as performed at the World’s Fair (1964), Carnegie Hall (1994, 1997, 1999), Chicago’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (2010, 2014), Jr. Orange Bowl Parade (2012), pregame at the Orange Bowl (2012), Disney’s Main Street Electrical Pre-Parade (2013, 2017), and as a model concert band at the 2012 Troy University Southeastern United States Band Clinic. Just recently in April of 2017 they participated in the 18th Annual Con Brio Music Festival in Whistler, British Columbia and received the Gold Standard in Concert Band Programs.
