Historic Downtown Panama City is the canvas for the fifth annual international projection art festival, Public Eye Soar. From November 9 – 10, the streets of Panama City come alive with light, sound and art. Featuring live performances, hands-on activities, short films, art and photography from across the globe, Public Eye Soar is a unique opportunity to see art on a whole new scale.
Northwest Florida’s largest outdoor art exhibit spotlights the work of more than 150 artists from across the country as well as from places such as South Africa, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Belgium, and India. Interactive and hands-on activities include a larger-than-life pinball game, shadow puppets, and perennial favorite – sand art. Enjoy live art demonstrations and musical

Join us for a special screening of “Loving Vincent” on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7pm on the largest screen on the festival grounds – the Syfrett and Dykes Building!
Loving Vincent is a 2017 experimental animated biographical drama film about the life of painter Vincent van Gogh, and in particular, the circumstances of his death. It is the first fully painted animated feature film. The film, written and directed by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman is a Polish co-production.
Each of the film’s 65,000 frames is an oil painting on canvas, using the same technique as Van Gogh, created by a team of over 100 painters. The film premiered at the 2017Annecy International Animated Film Festival. It won Best Animated Feature Film Award at the 30th European Film Awards in Berlin and was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the90th Academy Awards.
