In celebration of the American Library Association’s Preservation Week (April 23-27) and with the help of a Panhandle Library Access Network Innovation Grant, the Local History Department at Bay County Public Library is launching the Preserve This! Photograph Digitization Campaign.
The public is invited to take a picture of themselves, events, and places in Bay County on April 29th, 2017. Pictures can be submitted with information (who, what, when, where) and permissions to the Bay County Public Library Local History Department via Facebook, email, or by lending the photographs to scan by May 26th. Selected photographs will be added to the Bay County Public Library Digital Photograph Collection. Can’t take pictures April 29th? No worries! You can send or lend photographs to the Local History Department any time to be added to the Digital Photograph Collection. For more information, call 522-2132.
